As the Indian consumers acquire global tastes thanks to affordable foreign vacations, the influence of films & media, and the Indian diaspora, the Indian consumers are looking to own & experience Indian & foreign luxury products. The key spending on luxury products so far has been predominantly from Tier I cities. However, with an increased focus on infrastructure development, employment generation and growth in smaller cities, the rapid urbanisation has led to an increased awareness and a new demand for premium-to-luxury goods in non tier-I cities as well.
